Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism is an association with the objective to generically promote the City and surrounding areas. The Association is located in the city of Port Elizabeth but maintain representation and communication throughout the Metro and surrounding areas via a network of tourism organisations and information offices.

The Vision of Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism is:

"By 2012 the Nelson Mandela Bay and surrounds will be recognised locally and internationally as a special and distinctive "must-experience", world class destination in Africa, renowned for its very own character, experience and friendliness and also for its commitment to its stakeholders, communities and the environment."

Our head office is based in the old Synod Building, 40 Mitchell street (corner of Mitchell Street and Walmer Boulevard) in South End. The main Information centre is located in the historical lighthouse buildings in the Donkin Reserve, Central, Port Elizabeth. Our info office is open seven days a week and will be able to provide you with brochures, maps, accommodation and excursion bookings as well as personalized advice and information.

The Administrative Office and staff members are available five days a week to assist visitors, members of the tourism organisation and the general public with any tourism related queries.

Nelson Mandela Bay offers emergency assistance to tourists should they fall victim to crime or accidents. Be on the look-out for our tourism ambassadors patrolling the streets or phone us at any of numbers listed below. The police can be contacted at 10111, 24 hours per day.
